LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mr. George Colon Howle, Jr., age 77, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Warriors Walk VA Hospital in Columbia. He was born November 24, 1938 to the late George Colon Howle, Sr. and Annie Harpe Howle and was married to the late Wilma Willene Griffin Howle for 50 years. Mr. Howle ran a grocery store, Community Grocery, for 30 years and was an entrepreneur of many small businesses throughout his life. He was dearly loved by his family.

Mr. Howle is survived by two daughters, Teresa H. Hallman (Vernon) and Sheri H. Wells (Mike); one son, Randy Howle (Georgia) all of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Mirandia H. Strait (Ross), Kayla H. Taylor (Darrell), Trey Howle (Muri), Dayna J. Hallman and Britt Wells; four great grandchildren, Pierce Strait, Briar Strait, Kobe Sutter and Anna Brynn Taylor; a brother, C. Tycho Howle of Atlanta and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Howle was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mallory L. Wells; three sisters, Inez Rawls, Juanita Johnson and Elaine Vaughn; and three brothers, Emmitt Howle, Vernon Howle and Richard Howle.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Howle will be 3:00 pm Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Unity A.R.P. Church by the Rev. Charles Hammond. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
