FORT LAWN, SC::::::::::: Mr. George Cecil "Pop" Antley, age 73, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015. He was born September 26, 1941 in Portsmouth, Virginia, a son of Margie Binnicker Antley and the late Cecil Belton Antley and was the companion of Joyce Todd. Mr. Antley retired from Morrison Textile as an Assembly Department Foreman. He served our great country in the United States Army National Guard. He attended Springdale Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the Jackson Masonic Lodge #53 of Lancaster. Mr. Antley enjoyed life. He loved restoring vehicles, woodworking and yard sales. Christmas was one of his favorite holidays because of the beauty in the lights and decorations. He loved his family and was a friend to everyone.
Mr. Antley is survived by his mother, Margie Binnicker Antley; his companion of 25 years, Joyce Todd; a son, George Timothy "Tim" Antley and his wife Lisa of Columbia; two daughters, Pam Sinclair and her husband Jerome, Karen Springs and her husband Joey of Lancaster; Nancy Ann Carnes Antley, the mother of their three children; two sisters, Paulette Dutton and her husband Wayne of Lancaster, Sandra Johnson and her husband Johnny of Irmo, SC; six grandchildren, Benji Sinclair and his wife Dustee, Sam Sinclair, Matt Springs and his wife Rhonda, Ashley Springs, Austin and Taylor Antley; one great-grandchild, Georgia Grace Springs and three step-great grandchildren Hannah and Hailey Sims and Cullen Harrell.
The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Antley will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Rev. Donnie Tillman.
The Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster and suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210, or a memorial of your choice.
