LANCASTER, SC::::::::::::: Mrs. Genevieve Johnson Cannon, age 67, of 354 S. Potter Road, died Sunday evening, January 18, 2009 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born September 25, 1941 in Horry County, the daughter of the late Van Elliott Johnson and Alice Genevieve Martin Johnson and was the wife of the late Samuel Benjamin Cannon. Mrs. Cannon was homemaker and of the Baptist faith.Mrs. Cannon is survived by a son, Samuel G. Cannon and his fianc Mandy Ellis and a daughter, Linda Mackey and her husband Jody both of Lancaster, a brother, David Johnson of Pamplico, SC, 2 sisters, Ruth Baker of Brittons Neck. SC and Elease Thompkins of Myrtle Beach, and 3 grandchildren, Kelsey Cannon, Kinley Cannon and Alyssa Mackey.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Cannon will be 11:30 am, Wednesday January 21, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Robert Alford with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
