ROCK HILL, SC~ Mrs. Gail Stevens Hinson, age 66, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on June 18, 1954 in Camden, SC, a daughter of Sara Williams Stevens and the late J.W. Stevens, Sr.  Gail was the wife of Paul Hinson.  Her joy in life came from her family; she lived for her grandchildren.  Gail was a very elegant, classy lady who touched many lives.  She enjoyed flower gardening and horses.  Gail was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Gail is survived by her husband of 30 years, Paul Hinson; two sons, Alex Tyler Hinson (April Barbosa) of Lancaster, and Matthew Steven Hinson of Rock Hill; two grandchildren, Jade Barbosa and Nova Barbosa; her mother, Sara W. Stevens; and three brothers, J.W. Stevens, Jr. (Sylvia) of Lancaster, Roger Stevens (Penny) of Walterboro, SC, and Mark Stevens of Lancaster.

Gail was preceded in death by her father.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life Service at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lancaster County Relay for Life, 1901 Brunswick Ave., Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
