LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Frankie McManus Couch, age 93, died Sunday, May 20, 2012 in Rock Hill. She was born March 10, 1919 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late John Washington McManus and Elizabeth McManus McManus and was the wife of the late Raymond Couch. Mrs. Couch retired from JP Stevens and was a member of High Point Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Couch is survived by 2 sons, Jerry Couch and his wife Shelby of Lancaster and Donnie Couch of Lancaster, 3 daughters, JoAnn Knight of Lancaster, Linda Hinson and her husband Charlie of Lancaster, and Betty Gruner and her husband Ken of San Antonio, TX, a brother, Kelly McManus and 2 sisters, Azilee Ricks and Euree Carnes all of Lancaster, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Couch was preceded in death by 7 brothers, Roy McManus, J.W. McManus, David McManus, Toy McManus, Ira McManus, Ray McManus and Roddy McManus and 5 sisters, Edna Whitaker, Leila Carrol, Inez Carnes, Kathryn Gaskins, and Katie Hammond. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Couch will be 2:00 pm, Friday May 25, 2012 at High Point Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Cliff Wilson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mrs. Couch will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Hartley Funeral Home and the family suggests memorials to High Point Freewill Baptist Church, 2095 Great Falls Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720.
