BETHUNE, SC ~ Mrs. Frances Robinson Pate, age 82, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 at her home. She was born December 6, 1941, in Chester, SC, the daughter of the late Clark Robinson and the late Annie Mae Warren Robinson and was the loving wife of the late William Marshall Pate. She loved her goats, dogs, cats and chickens. Mrs. Pate also loved reading, listening to gospel music and preaching, and working with her flowers. Her love for children was what brought her so much joy; she fostered children for many years. Her family quoted that she was "the greatest mother anyone ever had". Mrs. Pate was a member of Frontline Biker Church.
Mrs. Pate is survived by her two sons, William Lloyd Pate (Martha), and William Jared Pate; a daughter, Christine "Beth" Martin; six grandchildren, Jennifer Lucas, Dale Eason, David Pate, Donnie Harris, Will Moore, and William Blair; and blessed by many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pate; her daughter, Cynthia Moore; two grandchildren, Amber Moore, and Christopher Sistare; her great-grandchild, Mason; her parents; four brothers, James Robinson, Alan Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Henry Robinson; and a sister, Lois Ann Dixon.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Pate will be 4:00 pm, Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Cotton Pate and Rev. Tim Larrimore.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to Frontline Biker Church, 7728 Hwy 341, Kershaw, SC 29067.
