LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Mahaffey Jackson, age 89, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at her home. She was born February 28, 1932 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Gary Mahaffey and Fannie Bowers Mahaffey Greene and was the wife of the late Joseph Daniel "J.D." Jackson.  Mrs. Jackson enjoyed making ceramics and traveling to the beach and mountains with her family.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could.  Mrs. Jackson enjoyed her time as a volunteer with Springs Memorial Hospital.  She was a loyal member of Crestview Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the choir and played a very big role on the social committee.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her son, Danny Jackson (fiancée, Kathy Beaumont); two grandchildren, Tanya Cooper (fiancé, Dee Williams), and Rusty Jackson (Tara); four great grandchildren, Michael Cooper (Lauren), Riley Jackson, Logan Jackson, and Hayden Phillips; a great-great grandchild, Grey Cooper; a sister, Eva Mae Ghent (James); and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Jackson; her parents; a brother, Jack Mahaffey; and a sister, Kathryn Cole.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mrs. Jackson will be 3:00 pm Friday, March 12, 2021 at Lancaster Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Casey Swails.

The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
