LANCASTER, SC::::::::::: Mrs. Frances Bradley Ghent, age 75, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016. She was born April 12, 1940 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late William Levi Bradley and Carrie Kennington Bradley and was the wife of Cecil Ray Ghent. Mrs. Ghent retired from White Oak Manor as an LPN. She was a member of two bowling leagues, the Red Hat Society, the Seniors Club and was a volunteer for Springs Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed traveling with groups. Mrs. Ghent was a loyal and faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

Mrs. Ghent is survived by her husband, Cecil Ray Ghent; a son, Cecil Darrell Ghent of Lancaster; two daughters, Darlene Ghent Dabney and her husband, Norman and Denise Ghent Cubbedge and her husband, Barry both of Rock Hill; a brother, Robert Bradley and his wife, Nancy of Lancaster, eight grandchildren, Dalton Starnes and his wife, Katie, Norman Dabney, III and his wife, Tiffany, Brandi Dabney, Allison Blocker, Lauren Ghent, Brad Ghent, Croft Cubbedge, and Edison Cubbedge and one great grandchild, Aria Beckwith.

Mrs. Ghent was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Bradley and Jimmy Bradley and a sister, Sue Bradley Threatt.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Ghent will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 11, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church by Rev. Steve Anglin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday evening, March 10, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731 or Bethel Baptist Church, PO Box 2647, Lancaster, SC 29721.
