LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Floyd Allen Cauthen, Jr., age 75, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018. He was born November 30, 1942 in Lancaster, a son of the late Floyd Allen Cauthen, Sr. and Ernestine Collins Cauthen. He was the husband of Rhonda Henry Cauthen. Floyd was employed with Sonny Bowers Dodge for over 43 years. His true love was his family, especially his three grandchildren. He enjoyed restoring cars, collecting model cars, Nascar racing and loved traveling to the beach. Floyd served our country in the Army National Guard and was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church.
Floyd is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rhonda Henry Cauthen; a daughter, Kendall Cauthen Khoury of North Myrtle Beach; three grandchildren, Alex, Abby and Nicolas; two brothers, Tommy Cauthen (Marilyn and Rusty) and Tim Cauthen (Sandra); and one sister, Candy Cauthen Ghent of Fountain Inn, SC, and her children, Matthew and Kimberly.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; a niece, Jenna Cauthen and a brother-in-law, Phil Ghent.
A private memorial service will be held to honor Floyds life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 140 Stoneridge Drive, #210, Columbia, SC 29210 or First Baptist Church of Lancaster, PO Box 670, Lancaster, SC 29721.
