LANCASTER, SC--- Mrs. Faye Snipes Knight, age 89, died Saturday, January 05, 2013 at Lancaster Convalescent Center. She was born May 31, 1923, in Pageland, SC, the daughter of the late Ernest Snipes and Doshia Kennington Snipes. She was married to the late Carl "Nig" Knight. She worked in retail sales at JC Penny and was a member of The Order of Eastern Star and was also a member of Springhill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Knight is survived by her son: Danny Knight and his wife Jewell of Little River, SC, and one precious granddaughter, Kristi D. Knight, of North Myrtle Beach, SC. Faye loved her many nieces and nephews who were all so special to her. She had a special friend and sister in Christ, Linda Stacks, who was one of God's angels on earth.

In her latter years Mrs. Knight and her husband Carl moved back to Tradesville to care for her mother-in-law, Hallie Knight.

Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ollie Snipes Herring, and Ethel Snipes Deese, and 3 brothers, J.D. Snipes, Melvin Snipes, and Odell Snipes.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Knight will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 7, 2013, at Springhill Baptist Church by the Rev. Brad Threatt with burial to follow at the Springhill Baptist Church cemetery.

The Family of Mrs. Knight will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am in the church Fellowship Hall and the family suggests memorials be made in lieu of flowers to Springhill Baptist Church 2245 Old Camden Monroe Hwy. Lancaster, SC, 29720.


The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Knight will be held 11:00 am Monday, January 7, 2013, at Springhill Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
