LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Bevelyn "Faye" Blakely Johnson, age 90, passed away, Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at her home. She was born June 7, 1934, in Andrews, SC, a daughter of the late Bryant Manning Blakely and the late Susan Edwina Wilson Blakely and was the wife of the late Ray Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was such a loving and caring lady. She loved her family and always made sure they were taken care of. She enjoyed each moment spent with them and enjoyed talking to all of her friends. Mrs. Johnson was the owner and operator of Raggedy Ann & Andy Child Care for many years. She always loved working with children and making sure they were taken care of as well. She was known as "Maw maw" to many! Mrs. Johnson loved going to the beach and loved her church family. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, Michael Johnson (Kathy) of Lancaster; two daughters, Susan Dry of Blythewood, and Robbie Young (Willard) of Lake Wateree; six grandchildren; Denise Reid (Darrell), Marty Johnson (Karen), Dana Hinson (Mickey), Magan Faile (Chase), Ryan Young (Meredith), and Tyler Young (Caitie); 12 great-grandchildren, Seth, Nathan, Blake, Sydney, Alli, Landon, Reid, Larson, Rylee, Kennedy, Grayson, and Tate; one great-great granddaughter on the way; her sister, Frances Byrdic of Andrews; and a many special family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Johnson; her great-grandson, Noland Jase Faile; her son-in-law, Carey Dry; her parents, Bryant and Edwina Blakely; two brothers, Vander Blakely, and Roger Blakely; and two sisters, Ernestine Cannon, and Nora Young.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Johnson will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 18, 2024, at Sherwood Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Steve Anglin. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice Care, 311 North Main Street B, Lancaster, SC 29720.
