LANCASTER, SC::::::::::::: Mrs. Eva Mae Deese Sutton, age 83, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009 at White Oak Manor where she was a resident. She was born August 12, 1925 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late William Ira Deese and Lillie Mae Bailey Deese and was the wife of the late James Henry Sutton. Mrs. Sutton retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.Mrs. Sutton is survived by a son, Jimmy Sutton and his wife Dorothy of Rock Hill, a daughter, Mary Ann "Sis" Starnes and her husband Donnie Starnes, Sr. of Lancaster, a brother, Johnny Ira Deese of Lancaster, a sister, Doris Ann Kauffman of Punta Gorda, FL, 5 grandchildren, Danny Starnes, Derek Starnes, Rev. Donnie L. Starnes, Jr. and his fiance Amy, Jimmy W. Sutton , Jr. and his wife Darleen and Wendy Sutton, and 3 great grandchildren, William L. Starnes, Meredith Sutton and Molly Sutton.Mrs. Sutton was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William "Doc" Deese and James "Pete" Deese, a sister Pauline Webster, and a great grandson, Jimmy W. "Trey" Sutton, III.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Sutton will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Donnie Starnes, Jr. and Rev. James Atkinson with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family of Mrs. Sutton will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 pm Saturday at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to White Oak Manor, Patient Activity Fund, 253 Craig Manor Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720.The Family will be at the home of her grandson, Donnie Starnes, Jr., 424 Community Lane, Lancaster.
