LANCASTER SC ~ Mrs. Eunice Marie Hilton Peebles, age 94, died Sunday, August 6, 2017. She was born June 15, 1923 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late John Minton Hilton and Pearl Faile Hilton. Mrs. Peebles retired from Springs Industries. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church and loved her church family.

Mrs. Peebles is survived by her children, Judy Peebles Beatty of Lancaster, Joye Peebles Grubbs and her husband, Herbert of Pennsylvania and Wayne Peebles and his wife, Janet of Florida; nine grandchildren, Teresa Beatty Hurst (Rhett), Mark Beatty (April), Lisa Nelson (Mike), Brian Grubbs, Christine Banaszak, David Sigmon, Greg Sigmon (Laura), Laura Robinson and Marsha Stockunas (Jason), 14 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Bruce Hilton and his wife Dot of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Peebles was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Hilton and three sisters, Ruth Hilton Lingle, Sarah Hilton Funderburk and Georgia Hilton Funderburk.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Peebles will be 4:00 pm, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church by Rev. Jessie Adams and Rev. Catlin Rollings.

The family will receive friends at the home Tuesday evening from 5:00 8:00 pm and following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Dale Baptist Church Matching Grant Fund, 133 S. Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
