LANCASTER, SC~ Mrs. Euleta Presson Walters, age 91, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Atrium Health in Charlotte.  She was born August 4, 1930, in Union County, NC, a daughter of the late Henry Lee Presson and Lura Gertrude Funderburk Presson and was the wife of the late Charles Harold Walters.  Mrs. Walters retired from Buford Elementary School Cafeteria.   Following retirement, she then worked for Special Occasion Rentals.  She loved her family and friends and enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and strawberry milkshakes.  Mrs. Walters was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and loved her church family.

Mrs. Walters is survived by a son, Dale Edwin Walters, a grandson, Johnathon David Hilton (Erin); two step-grandchildren, April Ansley (Andrew) and Ashley Brin (Hugh); twelve great grandchildren; and a brother, Morris Presson of Monroe, NC.

Mrs. Walters was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Harold Wayne Walters; five brothers, Nathan Presson, Henry Presson, James Franklin Presson, Lavenn Presson and Gary Presson; and a sister, Ruby Presson Griffin.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Walters will be 3:00 pm Sunday, November 21, 2021 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Marty Roberts and Rev. Tommy Howell.   Burial will be 1:00 pm Monday, November 22, 2021, at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church, 6437 Oak Hill Church Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or Fork Hill Baptist Church, 1125 Fork Hill Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058.
