LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Eula Sue Hinson, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 29, 1941, in Lancaster, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Clyde H. Mobley and the late Blanche Laura Bedford.

She lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a heart that never stopped giving. To all who knew her, she was truly an angel here on earth.

Her compassion was quiet but powerful, and she touched countless lives with her gentle spirit.

She had a special way of making people smile. Many will remember her thoughtful cards — she never missed a birthday, holiday, or moment when someone needed encouragement. She chose each card with care, writing words meant to lift spirits and brighten days.

Her life was a testimony of compassion, generosity, and quiet strength. She made the world softer just by being in it.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Ann Hinson of Myrtle Beach, her grandson. Julius Catoe and Nicole Catoe; her stepmother, Mayo Mobley, her half-brother, Hal Mobley, her half-sister, Rachel Castle (Dave); special cousins; Bud Antley and Patricia “Sis” Couch, with many family members and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wayne Hinson; her father, Clyde H. Mobley of Lancaster and her mother; Blanche Laura Mobley of Lancaster.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at St. Luke Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am in the sanctuary.

The family asks for continued prayers as they navigate the days ahead and carry her light forward.

“Mama, thank you for loving us the way you did. Rest easy now — we’ll carry your light with us for the rest of our lives.”
