LANCASTER, SC:::::::::: Eugene Gene Rabon, age 66, passed away peacefully December 31, 2016 at Greenville Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family. He was born August 14, 1950 in Conway, SC, the son of the late John Conley Rabon and Myrtle Cook Rabon and was the husband of Betty Brooks Rabon. Mr. Rabon retired from Lowes Home Improvement. He loved his family, working in the yard, fishing, and gardening. Mr. Rabon was a beekeeper and an avid outdoorsman. He was a member at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church.

Mr. Rabon is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Brooks Rabon; a son, Michael Rabon and his wife, Tracy; a daughter, Debbie Banks and her husband, Allen; seven grandchildren, Autumn Rabon, Sydney Rabon, Courtney Bowers, Chandler Bowers, Trevor Banks, Taylor Banks, and Graham Banks; two great grandchildren, Kenly Banks and Aria Banks; a brother, John Rabon and his wife, Diane; two sisters, Linda Jordan and her husband, Benny, and Cheryl Elliot and her husband, Ralph; and the Rabon and Brooks family.

Mr. Rabon is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Rabon; and three sisters, Margaret Carter, Dorothy Gibson and Cathy Bradley.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Rabon will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church, 3026 Camp Creek Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 by Rev. Tim Larrimore. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service and suggest memorial contributions be made to Liberty Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 2094, Lancaster, SC 29721.
