HEATH SPRINGS, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Etta McAteer Hinson, age 87, died Friday, December 11, 2009 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born March 10, 1922 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Ernest Ervin McAteer and Ethel Louise McGuirt McAteer and was the wife of the late Bernie Raymond Hinson. Mrs. Hinson retired from Springs Industries - Grace Bleachery and was a member of Rich Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Hinson is survived by a son, Jimmy Raymond Hinson and his wife Marlene of Lancaster, a daughter, Darlene Roberts and her husband Ronny of Lancaster, a brother, Lewis McAteer of Lancaster, a sister, Mamie Jo Robinson of Lancaster, six grandchildren, Sheila Mullis, Jamie Hinson, Monica Bennett, Mandy McManus, Chad Hinson and Kristy Allen, and six great grandchildren, Summer Hinson, Jordyn Ellis, Hunter Mullis, Wyatt Hinson, Kylee Allen and Benson Laney.Mrs. Hinson was preceded in death by four sisters, Oveta Everall, Lizzie Gordon, Idell Belk and Doris Lemmond and five brothers, James McAteer, Hayward McAteer, Ervin McAteer, A. B. McAteer and Coleman McAteer. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hinson will be 3:30 pm Sunday afternoon, December 13, 2009 at Rich Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Edwin Bagley, Rev. Charles McAteer, and Rev. Dr. Kenneth Lance with burial to follow in the church cemetery.The Family will receive friends following the service in the Family Ministry Buildingand suggest memorial contributions to Rich Hill Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 1557 E.
