LANCASTER, SC :::::::::::Mrs. Ethel Horton Williams, age 97, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at White Oak Manor. She was born July 26, 1915 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Lewis Horton and Mattie Beckham Horton and was the wife of the late Clyde Elmore Williams Mrs. Williams retired from Springs Industries and worked in Home Health with the Health Dept. and was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, Joanne W. Robinson and her husband Malcolm of Lexington, 6 grandchildren Mike Catoe and his wife Lynn, Michelle Kahler and her husband Guy, David Cauthen and his wife Kim, Darrell Cauthen, Kevin Williams and his wife Sandra, and Regina Fahmey and her husband Terry, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by 2 sons, Jimmy Williams and Randy Williams, a daughter, Brenda W. Cauthen, 4 brothers, Jack Horton, Ira Horton, Claude Horton, and Poovey Horton, and 2 sisters, Ruth Adams and Maisie Bagwell.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Williams will be 11:00 am Monday, April 1, 2013 at Second Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Brian Saxon and Rev. Larry Helm. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The Family of Mrs. Williams will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and the family suggests memorials to Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 1426 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
