LANCASTER, SC :::::::::::Mrs. Ethel Rogers Bryson, age 87, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at her home. She was born March 26, 1926 in Lee County, SC, the daughter of the late Henry Grover Rogers and Daisy Branham Rogers and was the wife of the late William Edwin Bryson. Mrs. Bryson retired from Clark Control, was an avid gardener and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bryson is survived by a son, Terry Bryson and his wife Jan of Surfside Beach, SC, two daughters, Nancy B. Sowell and her husband Lee of Kershaw and Diane Blackmon and her husband Alton of Lancaster, a sister, Rose Calder of Lancaster, a sister in law, Sharon Rogers of Lancaster, six grandchildren, LeAnn Walters, Will Sowell, Bradley Blackmon, Brice Blackmon, Seth Bryson and Emily Bryson, and six great grandchildren, Corey Walters, Joey Walters, Logan Sowell, Mason Sowell, Haley Thurman and Jonathan Thurman.

Mrs. Bryson was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest Rogers, Dan Rogers, Johnnie Rogers and Lindy Rogers.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Bryson will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Chapel of Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Joel Rhyner. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mrs. Bryson will receive friends one hour before the service at Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home and suggests memorials be made to the Connie Maxwell Children's Home, PO Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648 or Temple Baptist Church, 1214 Old Landsford Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
