LANCASTER, SC :::::::::::Mrs. Esther Margaret Sims Faulkenberry, age 87, died Monday, November 19, 2012 at her home. She was born October 6, 1925 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Stewart Sims and Effie Neal Sims and was the wife of the late Earnest Frank Faulkenberry. Mrs. Faulkenberry retired from Springs Industries, was a volunteer for Springs Memorial Hospital and Hope of Lancaster, and was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. Mrs. Faulkenberry is survived by 2 daughters, Rhonda McMackin and her husband Mac of Lancaster and Sandra Baldwin of Columbia, a sister, Hazel Jewett of Kershaw, 4 grandchildren, Cliff McMackin and his wife Erin of Charlotte, Kyle McMackin of Simpsonville, Sara Margaret Strickland and her husband John of Columbia and Susanne Miller and her husband Bryant of Lexington, and 3 great grandchildren, John "Strick" and Max Strickland, and Isla McMackin. Mrs. Faulkenberry was preceded in death by a grandson, Neil Carson McMackin and a sister, Mary Faulkenberry.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Faulkenberry will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Covenant Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Bert Welch. Burial will follow at Pleasant Plain Baptist Church. The Family of Mrs. Faulkenberry will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in the church fellowship hall and suggests memorials to be made to Hospice of South Carolina, Hope of Lancaster, or Covenant Baptist Church.The Family would like to express our love and thanks to the hospice for their wonderful care of our mom, and a special thanks to Mrs. Mary Cauthen - we love you!
