LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Emily Blackmon Knight, age 56, passed away Monday, June 22, 2026. She was born on September 27, 1969, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late William Lewis Blackmon and the late Elizabeth Anne Himmelman Boulware and was the loving wife of the late Marvin Eugene Knight.

Emily was a loving and free spirited woman who found joy in the simple things in life. She had a special love for animals, especially her beloved fur baby, "King," who held a cherished place in her heart. Emily enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved being around the water, whether relaxing at her favorite spots or making memories with family and friends. She also had a passion for riding motorcycles and embraced every opportunity for adventure. Above all, Emily treasured the people she loved and the moments they shared together. She was a member of Taylors Grove Baptist Church, where she found strength in her faith and fellowship with her church family.

Emily will be remembered for her kind heart, adventurous spirit, and the love she shared with all who knew her.

Emily is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Knight; her father, William Blackmon; her mother, Elizabeth Boulware; and her brother, William “Billy” L. Blackmon.
