LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Ellen Knight Wallace, age 82, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 21, 1939, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late William Woodrow Knight and Bertha Sistare Knight. Just 4 days ago, lost her husband of 63 years, Cecil Eugene Wallace.  It's hard to find a love story that sincerely warms your soul and melts your heart, but these two were a perfect example of love.  Mrs. Wallace loved her family and cherished her time with them.  Every Sunday and holidays, she cooked meals for family gatherings.  She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and joy riding with her husband.  In previous years, she loved painting and reading.  Mrs. Wallace was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and helped on the meal committee.

Mrs. Wallace is survived by  a son, Ronnie Wallace (Susan); two daughters, Teresa McGuirt (Michael), and Cheryl Bradburn (Rob); seven grandchildren, Jeffrey McGuirt (Rachel), Amanda Gaskin (Bronson), Jessica Bradburn, Cory Wallace (Rachael), Logan Wallace (Whitney), Lauren Catoe (Simon), and Kolton Wallace (Kristen); thirteen great grandchildren, Peguy of Haiti, Gunnar, Zane, Tanner, Roy, Annabeth, Aiden, Declan, Paxton, Harper, Hazel, Hanson, Keegan (Honorary); a brother, Glenn Knight (Judy); and a sister, Diane Hegler.

Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Cecil Wallace; a great granddaughter, Lillia; two brothers, Ferris Knight, and Vann Knight; and a sister, Carol Horn.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. and Mrs. Wallace will be 2:00 pm Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Rhett Wilson.
