LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Ella Mae Taylor Walden, age 90, died Thursday, October 20, 2011 at White Oak Manor where she was a resident. She was born October 2, 1921 in Kershaw County, the daughter of the late Henry Taylor and Rosa Baker Taylor and was the wife of the late Dewitt Walden. Mrs. Walden retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mrs. Walden is survived by a daughter, Joyce Roberts and her husband Jack of Lancaster, a son, Allen Walden and his wife Sandra of Charlotte, a step-son, Charles F. Walden, Sr. and his wife Martha Jo of Lancaster, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Walden will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 22, 2011 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Kathy Hudson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family of Mrs. Walden will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home and suggests memorials to Grace United Methodist Church, PO Box 418, Lancaster SC 29721.
