FORT LAWN, SC::::::::::: Mrs. Elizabeth Edwards Belk, age 94, died Thursday evening, October 23, 2008 at Agape Rehabilitation in Rock Hill. She was born October 30, 1913 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Lucius Gaston Edwards and Janie Campbell Edwards and was the wife of the late Carl Everett Belk, Sr. Mrs. Belk was a homemaker and a member of Fort Lawn Baptist Church where she had previously served as Sunday school teacher and a member of the WMU. Mrs. Belk was survived by a son, Carl E. Belk, Jr. of Fort Lawn. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family.The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mrs. Belk will be 3:00 pm, Sunday afternoon, October 26, 2008 at Elmwood Cemetery by Rev. John Rumford, Rev. Travis Cook, and Rev. Ted Hodges with burial to follow. The Family of Mrs. Belk will receive friends immediately following the service at Fort Lawn Baptist Church, 5742 Church Street, Fort Lawn, SC and suggest memorial contributions be made to Fort Lawn Baptist Church, PO Box 250, Fort Lawn, SC 29714.
