Obituary

LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Eleanor Taylor Threatt, age 79, died May 14, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born April 10, 1936 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Richard Jake Taylor and Ellen Hunter Taylor and her stepmother, Evelyn Adams Taylor. She was the wife of the late Joe Threatt. Mrs. Threatt along with her husband opened the Wheel In in 1965 where she worked until her retirement in December 1999. She was a member of the Lancaster Study Club, a member of the group of friends that calls themselves "The Lunch Bunch" who ate together almost every day and a member of First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Threatt is survived by her son, Brian Threatt and his wife, Candy of Lancaster; one grandson, Joseph Threatt and his girlfriend, Bailey Faile of Lancaster; a sister, Carolyn Taylor of Lancaster; half-brother, Richard Taylor of Atlanta, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Threatt was preceded in death by brother, Joe Taylor, half-sister, Janice Boltz and a step sister, Sheila Roberts.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Threatt will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 16, 2015 at First Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Hatcher. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Family Life Center and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 670, Lancaster, SC 29721.
