LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. Elbert Lee "Jake" Wade, age 91, died Monday, November 24, 2014. He was born in Erwin, NC on August 31, 1923, the son of the late William John Wade and Occia Honeycutt Wade. Mr. Wade was twice married, first to the late Malinda Bruce Wade and secondly to Mary Ann McWaters Wade. Mr. Wade was a retired accountant for the Springs Company, was a former member of First United Methodist Church and served our great country in the US Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Wade is survived by his wife Mary Ann McWaters Wade, his children, Denise Wade Jordan (Randy) of Lancaster and Dennis L. Wade (Marie) of Myrtle Beach, step children, Randall Robinson (Kathryn), Mike Robinson (Carol) and Julie R. Sumner (Bill) all of Lexington, SC and Jon Robinson of Pelion, SC, 13 grandchildren, Jayson (Ashley), Kristen, Erica, Taylor, Amy, Ryan, Ali, Elizabeth, Jacob, Michal Ann, Jill, Grayson and Ivey, and 5 great grandchildren.

Mr. Wade was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Earl Wade, James Wade, and Donald Wade.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Wade will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 25, 2014 by Chaplain Bill Sumner at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mr. Wade will receive friends immediately following the service and in lieu of flowers suggest memorial contributions be made The American Heart Association Tribute Processing Center, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216 or a charity of your choice.
