LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Edwina Morgan Rape, age 79, died Monday, September 12, 2011 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born May 13, 1932 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Townly Morgan and Ida Gladden Morris and was the wife of the late Melvin Thomas Rape. Mrs. Rape retired from JP Stevens and Chester County Council of Aging and was member of First Baptist Church in Great Falls. Mrs. Rape is survived by a daughter Robyn Rape Blackmon and her husband Scott of Lancaster, a sister, Juanita "Priss" Scott of New Market, VA and 2 grandchildren; Morgan and Mallory Blackmon. Mrs. Rape was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Geraldine Gregory and Bobbie Hunter.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Rape will be 4:00 pm Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls. The Family of Mrs. Rape will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:00 pm Wednesday and suggests memorials to White Oak Manor, 253 Craig Manor Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
