LANCASTER, SC::::::::::: Mr. Edward R. "Sampson" Hallman Jr., age 60, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He was born July 29, 1955 in Atlantic Beach, NC, a son of the late Edward Ralph "Tots" Hallman, Sr. and Frances Harris Hallman and was the husband of the late Jackie Strawn Hallman. Mr. Hallman was the owner and operator of Badd Attitude Customs Motorcycle Shop, where he loved designing, rebuilding and customizing motorcycles. Mr. Hallman received many awards for his custom art work and design. His custom art design was once used on a Charlotte Hornets poster. He loved riding his Harley and enjoyed helping others.

Mr. Hallman was survived by three daughters, Valerie and her husband Brian Hill of Lancaster, Angie and her husband Robert Hopkins of Stanfield, NC and Emmy Hallman of Ruffin, NC; a sister, Patty and her husband Mike of Statesville, NC; five grandchildren, Carlie, Candase and Tyler Hill of Lancaster and Taylor Freeze and Brooke Hopkins of Stanfield, NC; and two nephews, Patrick and Jeremy Marshall of Raleigh, NC.

Mr. Hallman was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Ralph Hallman, Sr. and Frances Harris Hallman and his wife, Jackie Strawn Hallman.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. Hallman will be 3:00 pm Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Doug West. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 -2:45 pm Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Burgess Funeral Home and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Darrell Catoe, (803-287-3407), for a benefit to help with "Sampson's" medical expenses.
