LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Edward Burgos, age 56, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026, at his home. He was born in Manhattan, New York, on August 4, 1970, to Maria Diaz and the late Francisco Burgos.

Edward was a devoted member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, where he proudly participated in the church’s music ministry. Music was a special part of his life, and he had a deep love for playing and collecting guitars. His collection was something he treasured dearly, as each guitar held its own special meaning to him. Edward was a truly unforgettable man, remembered for his infectious laugh, charismatic personality, strong work ethic, incredible cooking, and genuine ability to connect with others. He had a special gift for making people feel as though no time had passed, effortlessly picking up right where a conversation or relationship had left off, no matter how long it had been since they last spoke or saw one another. Edward left a lasting impression on everyone, fortunate enough to know him. Time spent with him was always special, filled with laughter, warmth, and memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Above all, Edward cherished his family, who held a special place in his heart. His love for music, his faith, and his family were meaningful parts of his life that will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through music, laughter, and dancing, bringing to life the joy, warmth, and spirit he shared with everyone around him.

Edward leaves behind his beloved daughters, Bermary Burgos Vargas, Delaney Marie Burgos, and Maria Miranda Burgos; his grandchildren, Mariana Juilette Vargas, Carson Thomas Russo, Asher Layne Russo, and Eliana Rose Russo; his mother, Maria Diaz; his siblings, Raymond Burgos, Rosie Burgos, Judith Burgos, Mary Burgos, Arelis Burgos, Yomary Burgos, and Anthon Burgos; and many other special family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Burgos; and his beloved dog, Rambo.
