LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Eddy H. Farris, age 63, died Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born February 23, 1948 in El Campo, TX, the son of the late Horace A. Farris and Vlasta Barosh Farris and was the husband of Sue Huggins Farris. Mr. Farris retired from Comporium Communications, coached Dixie Youth Baseball and Softball and Lancaster High School Softball for 20 years and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Farris is survived by his wife Sue H. Farris of the home, a son, Smokey Farris and his wife Katrina of Mt. Pleasant, a daughter Windy F. Stokes and her husband Stan of Lancaster, and 2 grandchildren, Ella Farris and Will Stokes. A Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Farris will be 3:00 pm Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Rev. Karl Bernsdorff. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mr. Farris will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:30 pm, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Hartley Funeral Home and in lieu of flowers suggest memorials be made to Friends of Lancaster High Softball, c/o Anne Howey, 1801 Third Tee Road, Lancaster, SC 29720. The Family will be at the home of Windy and Stan Stokes.
