LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Edwin "Ed" McRoy Yoder, age 83, passed away Sunday June 30, 2024. He was born October 17, 1940, in Lancaster, SC, son of the late Kirk McRoy Yoder and Mamie Rodden Yoder and was the husband of the late Nancy Sigmon Yoder. Mr. Yoder proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was owner operator of Maintenance of Mint Hill for 12 years and following this he continued his maintenance work with other companies. Mr. Yoder enjoyed the outdoors and his tractors.

Mr. Yoder is survived by his son, Michael "Mike" Yoder (Lynda) of St. Matthews, SC; his grandson, Michael "Ross" Yoder (Megan) of St. Matthews, SC; two great grandchildren, Rette and Rush Yoder; a son-in-law, Steve Climer of Taylors, SC; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Lee Yoder of Lancaster, SC.

Mr. Yoder was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Yoder; his daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Yoder Climer; his parents; a brother, James Donald Yoder; and a sister, Betty Yoder Kimbrell.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Yoder will be 11:00 am Monday, July 8, 2024, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Mallory Nickerson.
