INDIAN LAND, SC :::::::::: Mr. Douglass Jennings Carter, age 72, of 1923 Jim Wilson Road, died Friday, October 24, 2009. He was born December 30, 1936 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Cleon Moore Carter and Adele Glasgow Carter. Mr. Carter was a graduate of University of NC - Chapel Hill in 1959, a retired CPA, an amateur musician, a motorcycle enthusiast, served our great country in the United States Army and was dedicated to rescuing canines, especially wolf/dogs. Mr. Carter is survived by a son, Steve Carter and his wife Donna of Collierville, TN, and 2 grandchildren, Aaron and Wesley Carter.Mr. Carter chose cremation and suggested memorial contributions be made to Full Moon Farm, PO Box 1548, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
