LANCASTER, SC::::::::::: Mr. Douglas Ray Doster, age 72, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Carolinas Health Center Pineville. He was born January 19, 1943 in Lancaster County, a son of the late Rev. John Travis Doster and Kate Laney Doster and was the husband of Libby C. Doster. Mr. Doster retired from Morrison Textiles where he worked for 24 years. He was an outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing and loved watching and taking pictures of the sunset. He was especially fond of hawks. He retired from the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department as Assistant Chief and served our great country in the United States Army. He loved his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Doster was an active member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.

Mr. Doster was survived by his wife, Libby Childers Doster of Lancaster; two sons, Steven Doster, and Lamar Doster and his wife, Alison of Lancaster; a brother, Dale Travis Doster and his wife Pam, of Pageland, three grandchildren, Hannah Doster, Daniel Doster and Johnathan Doster.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Doster will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 13, 2015 at St. Luke United Methodist Church by Rev. Bill McCown, Rev. Mark Evans, and Rev. Steve McCormick. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The Family will receive friends Sunday, December 13, 2015, one hour prior to the service from 2:00 - 3:00 pm in the St. Luke United Methodist Church Sanctuary and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 128 Providence Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
