LANCASTER, SC ~ Douglas Jordan Gillespie, age 71, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at his home. Doug was born July 1, 1949 in Rock Hill, SC a son of Frazier Gillespie and the late Margaret Jackson Gillespie and was the husband of Donna Hammond Gillespie.  Doug was a Welder and Fabricator.  He was a fix it man who could fix anything.  Doug enjoyed the outdoors and nature.  He loved classic cars and going to the beach.  Doug was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, where he loved to attend and go to Sunday School.

Doug is survived by his wife of 26 years, Donna Gillespie; two sons, Robby Rollings (Lindsay) and Randy Rollings (Becky); two grandchildren, Brayden Rollings and Reagan Rollings; his father, Frazier Gillespie; and two brothers, Don Gillespie (Jan) and Perry "Jack" Gillespie (Denise).

Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Gillespie; and his sister, Cathy Grant.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Doug will be 3:00 pm Thursday, March 18, 2021 at St. Luke United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Eddie Usher. Social distancing will be practiced, and masks are required.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 128 Providence Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720.
