IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Doug
Clark
April 24, 1948 – October 26, 2024
INDIAN LAND, SC – Douglas Paul Clark, beloved husband, father, and Pop- Pop, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 26, 2024, with the love of his life, Kathleen Meahan Clark, holding his hand. Together for 50 years, they built a family filled with love and memories. Born in Stamford, CT on April 24, 1948, son of Edmund and Dorothy Klucik Clark. Enlisting in the Military at the age of 17, Doug was a proud Vietnam veteran who served his country with honor and pride.
Doug was a proud father to Allyson, Amy, Pamela, Douglass, and Amanda, each of whom he cherished deeply. As Pop- Pop, he found immense joy in his grandchildren—Dorothy, Nicholas, Autumn, Aidan, Sean, Conor, and Marion—who brought him boundless pride and happiness. As a brother, he cherished the relationships he had with his sisters Debbie, Allison, and brother Greg.
A dedicated fan of the New York Yankees and Jets, Doug looked forward to Opening Day every year, a day he held in the highest regard. His witty one liners and love of fixing and creating things were defining parts of his character. Always carrying a tape measure and a Swiss Army knife, Doug could be found mending, building, gardening, fishing, or lending a hand to those who needed him.
Doug's legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will remember him as a loving and dedicated husband, brother, and father, a man of integrity, and a true craftsman. His love, humor, and spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know him. May he rest in peace, forever remembered for the love, laughter, and joy he brought to so many.
