Obituary

LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Dorothy Dot Denton Threatt, age 72, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at her home. She was born May 13, 1945 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late J.B. Denton and Eunice Robinson Denton and was the wife of the late Bobby Ray Threatt. Mrs. Threatt retired from Leroy Springs and Company. She enjoyed traveling with friends and camping. She loved to cook and entertain. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and served on the Hospitality Committee.

Mrs. Threatt is survived by a son, Scott Threatt and his wife, Cari of Lancaster; a daughter, Lisa Threatt Antley and her husband, Tim of West Columbia; a brother, Thomas Denton and his wife, Louise of Lancaster; and four grandchildren, Tanner Threatt and his wife, Jessica, Denton Threatt, Austin Antley and Taylor Antley.

Mrs. Threatt was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Jerrell Denton and Robert Denton and a sister, Reba Harrison.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Threatt will be 3:00 pm Sunday, December 3, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Steve Pace and Rev. Patrick Clark. Burial will follow in church cemetery.

The family will receive friends and family at Dots home and also following the graveside service. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 3731 Lynwood Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720.
