FORT MILL, SC:::::::::::: Mrs. Dorothy Wilson Rodgers, age 88, died Sunday evening, May 25, 2008 at White Oak Manor. She was born January 3, 1920 in Lancaster the daughter of the late Benjamin Tillman Wilson and Valena Blanche Pettus Wilson and was the wife of the late Richard Manning Rodgers Sr. Mrs. Rodgers retired from Delmar Printing Company and was a member of Belair United Methodist Church. Mrs. Rodgers is survived by a son, Richard M. "Rick" Rodgers, Jr. and his wife Ann of Waxhaw, NC, 2 daughters, Elaine R. Chapman and her husband Carl of Pageland, Karen R. Mullen and her husband Chris of Holly Springs, NC, a brother, Albert Leon Wilson of Indian Land, 2 sisters-in-law, Dot Wilson of Augusta, GA and Lucille Wilson of Indian Land, 6 grandchildren, William "Bill" M. Rodgers, Leslie Sweem, Shane Chapman, Dawn C. Ennis, Christopher "Kit" Mullen, and Alexander Mullen, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ben Ray Wilson, Wallace Neely Wilson, and her twin brother Charles Lamar Wilson. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Rodgers will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Belair United Methodist Church by Rev. Tony Adams with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm, Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial contributions be made to Belair United Methodist Church Building Fund, 8095 Shelley Mullis Road, Fort Mill, SC 29707.
