CHARLOTTE, NC ~ Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Kirschner King, age 94, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Brighton Gardens in Charlotte.  She was born August 8, 1926 in Richmond, VA, the daughter of the late Floyd Martin Kirschner and Grace Odell Bohannan Kirschner and was the wife of the late Harry Carlyle King.  Mrs. King attended Catawba College.  She owned and operated her own Interior Design business.  Her favorite hobbies included going to the beach, shopping and being with people.  Mrs. King was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Mrs. King is survived by her daughter, Candice Canter; two grandchildren, Dorothy Blue (Travis), and Susanne Howland Dillingham (David Casey); and two great grandchildren, Fletcher Derrick Moore, and Rex Michael Blue.

Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Harry King; her parents; and two brothers, Everett Franklin "Frank" Kirschner, and Floyd Martin "Buddy" Kirschner, Jr.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. King will be held at a later date.
