LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Crook Cook, age 76, of 155 West Shiloh Unity Road, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born October 2, 1933 in Union County, NC the daughter of the late James Mark Crook and Roxie Melton Crook and was the wife of the late Robert Scott Cook. Mrs. Cook retired from Springs Industries, loved gospel music and was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church where she was a lifetime Sunday School Teacher, was the former WMU Director and sang in the Church Choir. Mrs. Cook is survived by 3 daughters, Robbie Moree and her companion Warren, Sundra Hilton and her husband Terry and Susan Bowers and her husband Jody all of Lancaster, daughter-in-law, Linda Cook of Lancaster, 3 brothers, Bill Crook and Buddy Crook both of Lancaster, and Van Crook of North Myrtle Beach, 4 sisters, Blonnie Watts, Bessie "Jack" Haire, Verla Mae Stevens all of Lancaster and Frances Robinson of Lugoff, 7 grandchildren, Angie Cook Caskey, Scottie Moree, Nicole Moree, Buck Cook, Kayla Hilton, Justin Arioli, and Jillian Bowers, and 2 great grandchildren, Taylor Cook and Layla Threatt.Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by a son, Edward "Eddie Boy" Cook, a sister, Loma Trull, and a great granddaughter, Harley Cook.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Cook will be 3:00 pm, Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Eastside Baptist Church by Rev. Donald Tillman, Rev. Mitch Ingram and Rev. Curtis Cameron with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family of Mrs. Cook will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Hartley Funeral Home and the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 1180 Garnette Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
