FORT LAWN, SC ~ Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Lee Gladden Barrineau, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. She was born February 21, 1939 a daughter of the late John David "J.D." Gladden and the late Ada Mae Self Gladden and was the wife of the late Jerry Jerome Barrineau Sr. Mrs. Barrineau was a very hard worker who enjoyed working, cleaning, sewing, cooking, baking, and gardening with her husband whom she loved so dearly. She loved to go to her weekly hair appointments to get her hair fixed and watch soap operas. She loved spending time with her family and always had a meal prepared for them. Mrs. Barrineau was a member of Fort Lawn Church of God where she loved worshiping the Lord and being with her church family.

Mrs. Barrineau is survived by her son, Jerry Barrineau Jr. (Patty); her daughter, Tina Miller (Harold); six grandchildren, JJ Barrineau, Josh Barrineau, Kristen Miller (Fiancé, Darrin Wyles); Zack Miller (Monique), Garrett Byers, and Brittany Oliveira; and her eight grandchildren, Danielle Denise, Mikayla Jo, Madison Grace, Alexis Mariah, Cameron Joshua, Jayden Jeremiah, Jamison Dill, and Taylor Dill.

Mrs. Barrineau was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Jerry Jerome Barrineau Sr.; her parents, J.D. and Ada Mae Gladden; and her sister, Louise Horton (L.J.).

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Barrineau will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Fort Lawn Church of God officiated by her son Rev. Jerry Barrineau.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Fort Lawn Church of God, Building Fund, PO Box 15, Fort Lawn, SC, 29714.
