LANCASTER, SC::::::: Mrs. Doris Threatt Knight, age 91, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at her home. She was born July 20, 1923 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Rochell Threatt and Reona Courtney Threatt and was the wife of Austin "Bill" Knight. Mrs. Knight retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Knight is survived by her husband, Austin "Bill" Knight, a daughter, Glenda K. Steele and her husband Fred; two sons, Eric Knight and his wife Rhonda and Phillip Knight and his wife Melissa all of Lancaster; two sisters, Elsie Bailey of Alabama and Luna McManus of Lancaster; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Laney Knight.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Knight will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 6, 2015 at Springhill Baptist Church by Rev. Brad Threatt, Rev. Tommy Howell and Rev. Bennie Barwick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Friday, in the church fellowship hall and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Springhill Baptist Church Building Fund, 2245 Old Camden Monroe Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
