LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Doris Stogner Faulkenberry, age 86, died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at her home. She was born August 20, 1923 in Kershaw County, the daughter of the late Oscar Marvin Stogner and Leila Pate Stogner and was the wife of the late Ward M. Faulkenberry, Sr. Mrs. Faulkenberry was reared at the Connie Maxwell Children's Home and graduated from Greenwood High School. She was employed with Springs Industries where she traveled as a representative for the Springs Employee Sales Store and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lancaster. Mrs. Faulkenberry is survived by a son, Ward M. Faulkenberry, Jr. of the home, two daughters, Pamela Faulkenberry and her companion Larry Sabol of Lexington, SC and Dena Faulkenberry of Lancaster, a brother, Oscar "Buck" Stogner and his wife Polly of Lancaster, two sisters, Ovedia Love Griffin and her husband George of Lancaster and Leila Christopher of Fort Lawn and numerous nieces and nephews.The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Faulkenberry will be 11:00 am, Tuesday morning, March 30, 2010 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Roy Barnes.
