LANCASTER, SC~ Mrs. Dora Fabela Battle, age 72, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019.  She was born April 23, 1947 in Fabens, Texas, a daughter of the late Rosa Fabela. Mrs. Battle loved golfing, reading, coloring and sudoku puzzles.  She was a great cook, loved being a stay at home mom, taking care of her family.  To meet her was to love her.  Mrs. Battle was a very caring and compassionate person.

Mrs. Battle is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Clyde Michael "Mike" Battle; a son, Richard Brian Lake and his wife, Melodi of Monroe, NC; two daughters, Lynnette Marie Lake of Wingate, NC and Tina Rene' Al-Harbi of Monroe, NC; nine grandchildren, Natalie Rodriguez, Farras Al-Harbi, Jordyn White, Faisal Al-Harbi, Abdullah Al-Harbi, EmiLee Mullis, Erin Elliot, Laura Steward, and Matthew Lake; three great grandchildren, Zoey Elliot, Ruby and Sophia Rodriguez; three brothers, Victor Fabela, Eddie Fabela, and Sonny Fabela; and three sisters, Vina Fabela, Carmen Fabela, and Lisa Fabela.

The family will have a Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Battle at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Providence Care, 500 Lakeshore Parkway, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
