LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Donald "Donny" Lloyd Adams Jr., age 62, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023. He was born October 12, 1960, in Lancaster, the son of Barbara Cooper Adams and the late Donald Lloyd Adams, Sr. and was the loving husband of Rebecca "Becky" Carter Adams. Donny worked for MUSC- Lancaster in the informational technology department for over 14 years. He was a graduate of The University of South Carolina where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. In younger years, Donny enjoyed playing baseball and in his church softball league. Donny loved working in the yard, landscaping, and restoring furniture. He enjoyed watching football and baseball, going to the beach and mountains, and taking family trips. Donny was an animal lover and had a special love for his dogs. He was a family man and loved spending time and making memories with all his family. Donny was a lover for Southern Gospel Music and was a member of Covenant Baptist Church.

Donny is survived by his wife of 37 years, Becky Adams; his two bonus children, Gabe Glover (Kaylen), and Kailee Glover Wood (Taylor); his niece, Lauren VanScoyoc (Eric); his nephew, Brad Ghent; his mother, Barbara Adams; his sister, Beth Ghent; his mother-in-law, Lynne Carter; and brother-in-law, Mike Carter (Nena).

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Adams, Sr.; his sister, Becky A. Matthews; and his father-in-law, Ray Carter.

The Celebration of Life Service for Donny will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 20, 2023, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Darrell Thompson.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am – 11:00am, one hour prior to the service at Burgess Funeral Home.
