LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Donnie Lynn Hunter, age 60, passed away, Wednesday March 26, 2025 at his home. He was born June 19, 1964, in Lancaster, the son of Linda Diane Horton Hanna and the late Morrison Kelly Hunter and was the loving husband of the late Tammy Hunter. Donnie always had a positive outlook on life, he never complained about anything and always had his infectious smile no matter the circumstances. He enjoyed talking on the phone, going to church, and going on vacation when he was able. Donnie loved visits from his family, church family, and friends. He was a faithful, God-fearing man who loved his church. Donnie was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Donnie is survived by his mother, Linda Hanna; his sister, Shonda Carlton (Tracy Small); his sister-in-law, Tonya Ellis (Brian); his nephew, Josh Ellis; his nieces, Hanna Carlton (Coty Bessé), Camri Carlton (fiancé, Mason McCarty), and Victoria Baker (Corey); his great nieces, Baislee Bessé, and Aubrey Baker; his great nephew, Aiden Baker; his special friend, John Trull; and many special family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 25 years, Tammy Hunter; and his father, Morrison Hunter.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Donnie will be 1:00 pm Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Immanuel Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Tim Anderson. Private burial will follow at Westside City Cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 1152 Great Falls Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720.
