LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Donna Sue Self Stokes, age 67, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022.  She was born March 2, 1955, a daughter of the late Clyde William Self, Sr. and Deloris Tucker Self and was the wife of Stanley Stokes.  Donna enjoyed going to the beach and reading. She was very friendly, enjoyed talking to others, she never met a stranger, and loved to help people. Donna loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She worked with Guardian Ad Litem. Donna was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Donna is survived by her husband, Stanley Stokes; a son, Stan Stokes (Windy); a daughter, Nicki Catoe (Cecil); seven grandchildren, Kelsy Stokes, Victoria Stokes, Gracie Catoe, Christina Stokes, Will Stokes, Rose Stokes, and Mattie Stokes; a brother, Billy Self (Pam); a sister Darlene Robinson (Wayne); stepfather, Clarence Adams; Jessica Steen (Scott's Fiancée); and a large extended family.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her son; Scott Stokes; and a brother, Terry Self.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Donna will be 11:00 am Monday, June 20, 2022, at Lancaster Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Donnie Birchfield.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Burgess Funeral Home.
