LANCASTER, SC~ Mr. Donald Wright, age 87, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his home. He was born July 18, 1930 in Lancaster, a son of the late John Wright and Elizabeth McManus Wright and was the husband of Emmagene Evans Wright. Mr. Wright was a retired auto body mechanic and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed watching old westerns. Mr. Wright was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who had unconditional love for his children. He attended Zion United Methodist Church.

Mr. Wright is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Emmagene Wright; a son, Steve Wright; three daughters, Candy Catoe and her husband, Terry, Penny Blackmon and her husband, Brett, and Crystal McKenna and her husband Mike; a brother, Johnny Wright and his wife, Margie; a very special daughter-in-law, Crystal Catoe; fourteen grandchildren, Christopher Small (Laurin), Amy Johnson (Eric), Jason Wright (Melissa), Lindsay Wright, Joesee Wright, Alee Bowers, Wade Adams (Jessica), Anna Adams (Tony Darcangelo), Carly Robinson, Ashlyn Blackmon (Brandyn Boykin), Aaron Blackmon, Meghan Rowe (James), Melody McKenna, Nolan McKenna, and Mandy Adams; and six great-grandchildren, Braydon Adams, Andrew Blackmon, Cade Adams, Dash Adams, Farrah Rowe, Scarlette Rowe; Shepherd Small, and a baby coming any day.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Wayne Wright; and several siblings.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Wright will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Zion United Methodist Church by Rev. Mike Burgess.

The family will receive friends following the service, from 3:00 - 4:00 pm, in the church family life center and suggest memorial contributions be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, Attn: Memorial Department, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Thompson Family Life Center, c/o Zion United Methodist Church, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
