HEATH SPRINGS, SC ~ Pastor Donald "Don" Frank Waldrop, Sr., age 77, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, January 22, 2021 at Novant Health-Matthews, NC.  Don was born at home on May 16, 1943 in Campobello, SC, the son of the late Grady Frank Waldrop and Theotha Ethel Hill Waldrop and was the loving husband of the late Ann Fallaw Waldrop.  Don graduated from Fruitland Baptist Bible College and went on to receive his Master of Divinity.  He pastored several churches in the Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina areas.  Don was a faithful pastor and servant of the Lord for over 50 years.  He loved to look out over God's beautiful creation whether it be at the beach, the mountains, or his back yard.  His hobbies included collecting lighthouses, crossword puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.  Don's family was his world and he loved each and every one dearly.  He dearly loved his grandchildren and his great granddaughter, Aria.  Don was a member of Second Baptist Church in Lancaster.

Don is survived by his son, Donald "Donnie" Frank Waldrop, Jr. (Lisa); his daughter, Kathryn "Kathy" Waldrop Blackmon; three grandchildren, Kelsey Craig (Zac), Madison Weaver (Steven), and Hunter Blackmon; a great granddaughter, Aria Weaver; several nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Ann Waldrop; his parents, Grady and Ethel Waldrop; and his son-in-law, Monty Blackmon.

The Celebration of Life Service for Don will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Second Baptist Church in Lancaster officiated by Dr. Brian Saxon and Rev. Jessie Adams.  Entombment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum officiated by Rev. Linda Riffle.
