LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Donald Lawson "Donnie" Threatt, age 61, of 2950 Woodland Way, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He was born July 21, 1946 in Lancaster County, the son of Ada Starnes Threatt and the late Lawson C. Threatt and was the husband of Sue Bradley Threatt. Mr. Threatt retired from Springs Industries - Grace Bleachery after 36 years and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Sunday school teacher.Mr. Threatt is survived by his wife, Sue Bradley Threatt of the home, his mother, Ada Starnes Threatt of Lancaster, a son Steven Donald Threatt of Mt Pleasant, SC, a brother, Rev. Maxie A. Threatt and his wife Saundra of Gordon, GA, and 3 sisters, Mary L. Williams and her husband Lonnie, Sybil T. Sellers and her husband Howard both of Lancaster, and Betty C. Childers and her husband Gene of Fort Lawn.Mr. Threatt was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Wayne Threatt.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Threatt will be 2:00 pm, Monday afternoon, July 7, 2008 at Bethel Baptist Church by Rev. Maxie A. Threatt, Rev. Tony R. Clark, and Rev. J. Harold Baker with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mr. Threatt will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday evening, July 6, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 2893 Bethel Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
