LANCASTER, SC :::: Mr. Donald Ray "Buddy" Lambert, age 77, died Friday, April 17, 2015 at CMC Main. He was born January 29, 1938 in Andrews, SC, the son of the late Willie J. Lambert and Willie Mae McManus Lambert and was the husband of Carol Faile Lambert. Mr. Lambert retired from Bowater as a General Foreman for Power Plant Maintenance and was the owner of Lambert Antiques on Springdale Road. He was a member of Lynnwood United Methodist Church. He loved all sports and was an avid Gamecock fan. He was on the chain crew for the Lancaster Bruins Football Team for over thirty years. After retirement, Mr. Lambert worked with Ray's Flowers as a courier. He enjoyed people and always took the time to come in and say hello and ask how you were doing.
Mr. Lambert is survived by his wife, Carol Faile Lambert, a son, Tony Lambert and his wife Gloria, a daughter, Lisa Adams and her husband Kevin, of Lancaster, 2 grand-children, Alexa Adams and Blaire Lambert, one brother, Jerry "Pookey" Lambert of Charleston, SC, and three sisters, Evelyn Barnes and her husband Bill, of Charleston SC, Mary Frances Black and her husband Frank and Christine Timmons and her husband Marvin, of Myrtle Beach, SC.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Lambert will be 3:00 pm, Monday, April 20, 2015 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Betty Kay Hudson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The Family of Mr. Lambert will receive friends from 2:00-3:00, Monday, at Burgess Funeral Home and other times at the home, 108 East View Drive. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lynnwood United Methodist Church, 1753 Lynwood Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720.
